In this stereoscopic image pickup device 10, two photographing lenses 12R and 12L are disposed by leaving specified space in between, and focus rings 14R and 14L, zoom rings 16R and 16L and iris rings 18R and 18L are provided on the lenses 12R and 12L. The corresponding operation rings are coupled by a gear coupling mechanism 22. The mechanism 22 is constituted by coaxially coupling a gear 42 meshed with the ring 14R and a gear 38 meshed with the ring 14L and the gears 42 and 38 are constituted so that their coupling angle can be adjusted.
