Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which includes light-emitting elements emitting light in a specific direction and arrayed in two dimensions and allows for reduction in the number of wiring to the light-emitting elements.SOLUTION: The display device is composed by arraying in two dimensions light-emitting elements 1 emitting a beam in a specific direction and capable of changing the emission direction. The light-emitting element 1 comprises: a light emission structure 2 including a semiconductor laminate; an emission direction specification part 3; a p-side electrode 24 and an n-side electrode 25 for supplying power to the semiconductor laminate for light emission; and a bottom electrode 41 and an upper electrode 44 for applying an electric field to the semiconductor laminate in a thickness direction and changing an emission direction of the emission direction specification part 3. The p-side electrode 24 and the bottom electrode 41 are connected to row selection wiring 12 which is common wiring, in the light-emitting elements 1 arrayed in a row direction. The n-side electrode 25 is connected to light emission control wiring 13, and the upper electrode 44 is connected to emission direction control wiring 14, in the light-emitting elements 1 arrayed in a column direction.
