To provide a miniaturizable sterilization device capable of sterilizing easily; and to provide a sterilization method.SOLUTION: A sterilization device 20 is connected to an outlet valve of an outlet in an operation room. The sterilization device 20 includes a nozzle 30 for spraying a liquid medicine from liquid medicine tank for storing the liquid medicine, a coupler 25 provided in the operation room, and fitted to the shape of the outlet for supplying compressed air, a supply pipe 26 for supplying compressed air from the coupler 25 to the nozzle 30, and an on-off valve device 28 for stopping supply of compressed air to the nozzle 30 upon finish of sterilization.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
