Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve wettability, and to enable sufficient sterilization through permeation in all parts by adding a surface-active agent to a peracetic acid solution and conducting sterilization while performing ultrasonic irradiation when food containers are sterilized.

CONSTITUTION: A surface-active agent is added to a peracetic acid solution and ultrasonic irradiation for complete permeation is combined in order to perfectly sterilize the clearance of a container and a cap 1. Consequently, surface tension is lowered by the surface-active agent, thus improving wettability. The peracetic acid solution is permeated excellently up to the details of all clearances 3.
