To provide a sterilizer easily and sufficiently sterilizing a treatment object using a microwave oven while a non-electrode discharge bulb is protected safely and sanitarily and simply handling the treatment object.
This sterilizer sterilizing the treatment object 1 by irradiating ultraviolet rays thereto 1 is provided with the non-electrode discharge bulb 2 emitting the ultraviolet rays by receiving the irradiation of microwaves, a bulb support part 3 supporting the non-electrode discharge bulb 2, a holder part 4 holding the treatment object 1 to make the treatment surface of the treatment object 1 face the ultraviolet rays emission surface of the non-electrode discharge bulb 2, and a vessel 5 formed of a material of permeating the microwaves and having the bulb support part 3 in its inside. The vessel 5 is dividedly formed into two approximately vessel-shaped bodies 5a and 5b openably/closably connected to each other and the approximately vessel-shaped bodies 5a and 6a are disposed with holder parts 4a and 4b individually holding the treatment objects 1a and 1b in the insides of the both approximately vessel-shaped bodies 5a and 5b.
