Title:
STERILIZING AND DEODORIZING FILTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3560088
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively obtain a filter capable of efficiently adsorbing ammonia in an aq. soln. and having durability and lasting properties by forming a filter capable of filtering and sterilizing bathtub water or pool water from a nonwoven fabric obtained by thermally bonding ammonia adsorbable fibers and various-bacteria fibers by hot-melt fibers.
SOLUTION: A nonwoven fabric containing ammonia adsorbable fibers and various-bacteria fibers much in ammonia adsorbing quantity, high in ammonia adsorbing speed and having mechanical physical properties is formed by thermally bonding those fibers by heat seal type fibers. At this time, ammonia adsorbable fibers and sterilizing fibers are pref. set to a range of 5-85wt.%. As the ammonia adsorbable fibers, crosslinked acrylic fibers characterized by that an increase of nitrogen content by hydrazine crosslinking is 1.0-8.0wt.%, 2.0-6.0mmol/g of a carboxyl group is introduced into a part of a residual nitrile group by hydrolytic reaction and an amido group is introduced into the residual part thereof are used.
