To provide an apparatus for positioning and sticking flat articles to each other through an adhesive layer, capable of reliably sticking the flat articles to each other at strict accuracy of μm unit.
A sticking apparatus includes: an inversion table 1 for adsorbing and holding a liquid crystal panel P; a slide table 2 for adsorbing and holding a polarization film F having an adhesive layer; a reciprocating base for mounting the slide table 2 through an XYθ table; a sticking roller 5 capable of ascending and descending; a position reading camera 6; and a controller for controlling operation of respective parts. Positions of alignment marks M1 and M2 of the liquid panel P and the polarization film F are respectively read out by the position reading camera 6, both the alignment marks M1 and M2 are aligned by fine movement of the XYθ table, the sticking roller 5 is lifted, a front end of the polarization film F is pressed to the liquid crystal panel P, and the whole of the desorbed polarization film F is stuck to the liquid panel P by pressed rolling of the sticking roller 5.
