PURPOSE: To separate a still camera part from a video camera part and to attain photographing by normally using a view finder of the video camera part but using a simple view finder provided in the still camera part when the still camera part is used singly.

CONSTITUTION: An optical view finder 58 is provided in the main body 51 of a video camera part 50 and projects from its side face and is directed to the same object to be photographed by a video camera part 50 and a still camera part 70. A simple view finder 210 is foldably provided in the upper part of the main body 71 of the still camera part 70. When the still camera part 70 is set to the video camera part 50, electric connection between both of them is established and various functions required for photographing such as the auto-focusing function, the automatic exposure control function, the shutter release function, and the take-up function of the still camera part 70 are controlled by the video camera part 50. Thus, a still camera attachable to and detachable from a video camera is obtained.
