Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a small volume regenerator by fitting a regenerator unit having a plurality of holes for housing the regenerator in a space surrounded with the upper outer peripheral wall of a cylinder liner, lower inner peripheral wall of a cylinder head and the upper wall of a cooler. CONSTITUTION:A Stirling engine mounts on the cylinder head 1 one end sides of a plurality of heater tubes 2 through which working gas like helium gas flows by soldering. A liner 6 of a cylinder 3 is provided on the lower outer periphery with a heat exchanger 4 adhered thereto for cooling working gas between the working gas in paths 41, 42 and cooling water in flow paths 43, 44. Then, a regenerator unit 7 is built in a space S surrounded with the lower inner periphery of cylinder head 1, the upper outer periphery of liner 6 and the upper wall of heat exchanger 4 to be constituted into a ring-like configuration having a plurality of holes 71. A regenerator R receiving a plurality of circular laminated means in a sleeve is received in each hole 71.
