Abstract:
PURPOSE: To offer a stitching device by which a work can easily be set on a work face in a state ready for sewing.
CONSTITUTION: First and second automatic-traveling work holding devices 7 and 8 are respectively automatically travel toward a reference position and an action position on a work stage 5. And, at the reference position, the holding devices 7 and 8 hold both ends of a stitching part S of a work W placed on the stage 5 and when moving toward the action position, they impart a constant tensile force on the stitching part S. As the automatic traveling holders 7 and 8 travel holding the stitching part S, the load on an operator is reduced.
