PURPOSE: To stop a moving object to a specified stopping position regardless of the moving distance, by finding the stopping command position of a motor and by stopping the operation of the motor with a stopping command at this position.

CONSTITUTION: The starting distance, braking distance, average accelerating torque, braking torque, etc. are set to an operational parameter setting means 13 and a unit is started. A stopping position command means 12 detects the stopping position. A relay circuit 15 closes an electrode contactor 6a for forward rotation. When an object 1 moves to the specified position, a stopping command is given, so that a relay 15 opens an electromagnetic contactor 6a and actuates a brake 5.
