Abstract:

PURPOSE: To stop a traveling cart at a set position with high accuracy.

CONSTITUTION: A traverser 5 stopped on the left side is run toward the right. Then it is decelerated slightly before it is made in contact with a buffer 12. The torque transmissibility of an electromagnetic clutch 8 is 100% for that while. After that, it is set to a specified low speed and the electromagnetic clutch 8 is set so that it may be slipped. The traverser 5 is made in contact with the buffer 12 in the low speed traveling condition. By this, larger slip is produced on the electromagnetic clutch 8. Then a traverser contact piece 12a of the buffer 12 is pushed by the traverser 5 to recess, and the traverser 5 is made in contact with a stopper 13 to stop. However, it keeps holding a traveling motor 7 in operating condition. As a result, the traverser 5 is kept in the condition that it is made in contact with the stopper 13.
