PURPOSE: To liquidate damage of yarn streaks and lowering of stopping accuracy that occur when a yarn streak braking plate is used as a stopping means of winding in a winder that uses a winding bobbin whose shape is two flanged bobbin.

CONSTITUTION: This stopping method of winding in a winder makes it the main purport that braking is performed by two flanged braking shoes 15 only that perform stopping action of braking on the two flanges of a winding bobbin in the first stage that is the beginning of winding, by combined use of above- mentioned stage braking shoes 15 and a yarn streak braking plate 4 that performs stopping action of braking on the surface of wound yarn streaks in the second stage that is the middle period of winding, and by the early stage yarn streak braking plate 4 only in the third stage that is the last period of winding.
