Title:
STORAGE CABINET
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3241297
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the deformation resistance of a safe body and improve the burglarproof property by setting the wall surface width of a fitting part on the side where the latch of a door is engaged larger than the side wall thickness of the safe body in the front wall of the safe body.
SOLUTION: The body 2 of a safe 1 is formed by filling a mixture 2b of cement and water into an iron plate 2a as refractory material into an iron plate 2a, a door 3 supported rotatably by hinges 4, 4 is formed by similarly filling a refractory material 3b into an iron plate 3a, and the door 3 has a latch 5 for fixing the door 3 to the body 2, a handle for moving the latch 5, and a dial lock or cylinder lock as locking means. The width L of the front surface 2E on the fitting part 9a side with which the latch 5 of the door 3 is engaged is set larger than the thickness W of the side wall 2D. Even when the tip of a bar is inserted to the clearance of the fitting part 9a to break open the safe, the body is not easily deformed, and the burglarproof property can be improved. Since the hinges 4, 4 are highly resistant to the deformation of the body 2 on the fitting part 9b side, the width may be set smaller than the thickness W.
