PURPOSE: To mixed fuel of a high-pour-point oil and finely powdered coal is rapidly cooled and stored, then it is melted from the upper part for delivery, thus permitting stable storage regardless of the period of time and eliminating the fluctuation in th mixing state on the delivery.
CONSTITUTION: The mixed fuel 9 consisting of crude oil of high pour point or heavy oil and finely powdered coal is rapidly cooled and stood in the tank 7 where the mixed fuel starts rapid solidification so that the uniform dispersion is being kept. When dilivered, the solid fuel is melted at the upper layer first with the heater 8 hung from the roof 12 fixed to the tank 7 and replaced with the water 10 sent to the bottom the tank 7 by pushing up the solid fuel 9. The continuous melting is effected by coming into contact with the heater 8 and the melted fuel 9' is fed to the fuel-consuming plant 11 by pump 2.
