Abstract:
To provide a storage element capable of stably operating the recording or the like of information and having a stable constitution even against heat.
The storage element 10 is constituted by holding a storage layer 4 and an ion-source layer 3 between a first electrode 2 and a second electrode 6. The storage element 10 is constituted so that one element selected from Cu, Ag and Zn and one element selected from Te, S and Se are contained in the ion-source layer 3, and the storage layer 4 is composed of one of a tantalum oxide, a niobium oxide, an aluminum oxide, a hafnium oxide, and a zirconium oxide or a mixed material of these.
