Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new not carried tungsten sulfide catalyst, provide its preparation method and also provide a hydrogenation method for an aromatic hydrocarbon and (or) a condensed polycyclic hydrocarbon.
SOLUTION: The not carried tungsten sulfide catalyst containing tungsten sulfide is formed by reduction decomposing an ammonium thiotungstate in an organic solvent, and in a hydrogenation process thereof, the above catalyst is used in a method of hydrogenating hydrocarbon containing an aromatic hydrocarbon and (or) a condensed polycyclic hydrocarbon and forming a hydrocarbon low in the content of aromatic hydrocarbon and (or) a hydrocarbon low in the content of the condensed polycyclic hydrocarbon.
