Abstract:
PURPOSE: To straighten and polish a wire rod efficiently, by passing a wire rod through a rotating tube filled with abrasives in arc form or wave shape being driven in rotation.
CONSTITUTION: While rotating and driving a rotating tube 2 of arc form or wave shape through motor 8, pulleys 10, 6, and V-belt 7, a wire rod 1 is caused to run in the tube 2 in the direction of arrow 9, and abrasives 4 are supplied therein from a hopper 5. The wire rod 1 contacts in the bow part of the tube 2 and is rotated and driven to be straightened and grinding at the same time.
