PURPOSE: To straighten a raw material by an inexpensive device of extremely simple construction by drawing out a raw material with the condition of pressing the raw material between the members.

CONSTITUTION: A raw material 10 is inserted between a holding plate 11 and pressurizing plate 13 by band or an automated machine so as to fit into a guide groove 12. The raw material 10 is then guided by the groove face and positioned to the prescribed position. Since the pressurizing plate 13 is energized to the side of the holding plate 11 by a spring member 15, the raw material 10 is pressed between these raw materials by the elastic restoring force of the member 15. The raw material 10 thus positioned is then drawn out to the direction of an arrow mark 17 in parallel to the groove face of the groove 12 by hand or the driving device not shown in the figure, etc. with the use of a clamp 16. At this moment the raw material 10 is inserted and pressed between said members from one end part of the plate 11 and plate 13 and at the same time is drawn out of the other end and is straightened. The width L of the groove 12 is set equivalent to or larger than the width A of the raw material 10 and the depth H is set slightly smaller than the thickness T of the raw material 10.
