PURPOSE: To make it possible to form an adjusting resistor, with which the adjusting resistor part of a strain gauge to be trimmed will be easily processed, together with the resistor which constitutes a bridge circuit by a method wherein the title strain gauge is provided with the first to fourth resistors, formed by providing a resistor thin film on a diaphragm, and specific first and second adjusting resistors.
CONSTITUTION: The title strain gauge is composed of a diaphragm 2, first to fourth resistors R1 to R4 formed in such a manner that a bridge circuit is constituted on the above-mentioned diaphragm 2 by a thin resistor film, a ladder-like first adjusting resistor CR1 formed between first and third resistors R1 and R3, and a ladder-like second adjusting resistor CR2 formed between third and fourth resistors R3 and R4. Also, in the above-mentioned strain gauge, the first and second adjusting resistors CR1 and CR2 are trimmed by a laser beam when the output value of the strain gauge 1 is adjusted. For example, the adjusting resistors CR1 and CR2 are formed by providing the resistors CR1a to CR1g or CR2a to CR2g which are substantially parallel-connected between respective resistors.
