Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strainer device and a method of use thereof, the strainer device being simple in configuration and maintaining a strainer function over a long period.SOLUTION: A strainer 22 constituting a strainer device 30 takes in water from a water inlet formed on a water pipe. The water inlet has a plurality of intake holes 23 formed thereon, and blocks contaminants 24 in the water. A chain 25 is fitted on an outer surface of the strainer 22, the chain having one end fixed on the strainer 22 and the other end swinging in a non-fixed state in a flow of the water, and functioning as a plurality of swinging members for suppressing clogging of the intake hole 23 caused by the contaminants 24. A plurality of the chains 25 is provided on a lower half part of the strainer 22, to extend in parallel to each other in the water flow. The plurality of chains provided in a direction of the water flow is arranged so that the chains 25 do not interfere with each other while swinging.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
