To provide a strainer apparatus capable of catching foreign substances even when the flowing direction of fluid is changed into either of forward or reverse direction, and preventing the caught foreign substances from flowing into a fluid tube side.
The strainer apparatus S includes: a case 1; a partition part 12 provided with a communication hole 13 while partitioning the inside of the case 1 into a flow path switching chamber 2 and a filter chamber 3; a filter member 14 for sectioning the inside of the filter chamber 3 into an inflow chamber 31 and an outflow chamber 32; a check valve 4 provided on respective outflow ports 82 and 92; and a slide member 5 which is slid and displaced between a position for allowing only inflow from a fluid tube 8 to the filter chamber 3 and a position for allowing only inflow from a fluid tube 9 to the filter chamber 3 by the pressure of the fluid flowing in through inflow ports 81, 91, and when communicating one inflow port 81 or 91 with the communication hole 13, dead-ends a flow path from the other inflow port 91 or 81.
