To provide a strap 11 for a ski pole which is excellent in the gripping property of a grip 5, the holding property of the pole 9, and the attaching/ detaching property to/from hand, and also, is equipped with a high security.

This strap 11 for the ski pole is equipped with an elastic cylindrical body 13, a slit 13c, a hanging strap attaching section 13a, and a loop-form hanging strap 14. In this case, the elastic cylindrical body 13 is fitted on the outer periphery of a shaft 3. The slit 13c is opened and formed at one section of the cylindrical wall 13b of the cylindrical body in the cylinder axial direction. The hanging strap attaching section 13a is integrally formed on the outer periphery of the cylindrical body in a manner to be adjacent to the slit. The hanging strap 14 is fixed to the hanging strap attaching section. On the hanging strap, a loop-expanding/contracting means 21 which expands/contracts the size of the loop 15f by binding the loop 15f is slidably provided. At the same time, at the loop end 15g, a locking means 23, which prevents the loop expanding/ contracting means from slipping off from the hanging strap by engaging with the loop expanding/contracting means, is provided. The hanging strap attaching section is preferably formed in a range of 90 to 150° along the outer periphery of the cylindrical body, from the center of the slit.
