Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a straw-discharging chain of a combine harvester, capable of simply disconnecting the transmission of a power to the straw-discharging chain for guiding threshed grain straws to the rear part of the machine frame.
SOLUTION: In this power-transmitting device, a power for driving a straw- discharging chain for receiving threshed grain straws from a feed chain and subsequently carrying the straws in the rear direction is transmitted from a shaft 136 for driving a threshing cylinder through a counter shaft 581 to which the power is transmitted from the shaft 136. Therein, a tension roller is movably applied to a belt 583 wound on pulleys 580, 582 fit onto the counter shaft 581 and the shaft 136 with an interlocking mechanism interlocked to an open cover 586 for covering the upper part of the threshing cylinder. When the open cover 586 is upwardly rotated, the tension roller 588 is separated from the belt 583 to disconnect the transmission of the power.
