Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stream multiplexer by which plural different data streams including timestamp information is multiplexed by synchronizing them with the same common reference clock information. SOLUTION: Data streams are acquired from an external stream generator by a stream acquiring part 1003. The reference stream is selected from among plural data streams to be inputted from a reference stream selecting part 1004. Common reference clock information is generated by referring to the reference clock from the reference stream by a common clock information generating part 1005. Compensation information of a timestamp is generated by comparing the common reference clock information with the reference clock of each data stream by a compensation information generating part 1006. The timestamp is compensated based on the timestamp compensation information by a timestamp compensating part 1007. The plural data streams which are timestamp-compensated are multiplexed by a multiplexing part 1008.
