Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent a film from being torn by instantly opening an outer film clamping means so that the film is not drawn out when the pre- stretch quantity is not less than the prescribed value to reduce the tension to generate a tear in an end part in the longitudinal direction of the film.
SOLUTION: A film 5a drawn out of a film roll 5 is cut to a prescribed length, and pre-stretched in the width direction according to the size of an article (a) to be packaged by film feed means 7A, 7B comprising a plurality of clamping plates 703, the article (a) to be packaged is elevated by an elevator 3, and heat-sealed by folding a film end part into a bottom surface of the article (a) by right and left folding plates 9, 9' and a rear folding plate 10. When the pre-stretch quantity based on the size of the article to be packaged is not less than the prescribed value, the clamping plate located on a rear end side of the film out of the film clamping plates 703 divided during or after the pre- stretch is instantaneously opened.
