PURPOSE: To obtain the subject tape having permanent strain at the middle part and suitable for the binding and fixing of articles by using a non-stretchable member at both end parts and a specific stretchable member at the middle part, and applying a tacky adhesive layer to one surface of the non-stretchable member.
CONSTITUTION: Both end parts of the objective tape are made of a non- stretchable member 1 such as polyethylene terephthalate, polyolefin and ethylene/ vinyl acetate copolymer and the middle part of the tape is made of a stretchable member 2 composed of a thermoplastic elastomer such as a styrene/ethylene/ butylene/styrene block copolymer having a permanent strain of ≥50%. One surface of the non-stretchable member 1 is coated with a layer 3 of a tacky adhesive such as natural or synthetic rubber, acrylic adhesive and hot-melt adhesive.
