PURPOSE: To provide smooth suspension and carriage by continuously suspending and carrying the strip-shape carried article from a suspending and carrying part provided on the body part into a storing part by controlling the carrying direction, folding it inward, and integratedly elevating the body part together with an accumulation box as the folding and storing is proceeded.

CONSTITUTION: A strip-shaped carried article 1 is continuously suspended and carried from a suspending and carrying part 4 provided on a body part 3 into a storing part 2 by controlling the carrying direction by a carrying direction control mechanism 6. The strip-shape carried article 1 is folded inward at each inner side part of the storing part 2, and stored in the folded condition. As the article is folded and stored, the body part 3 is elevated together with an accumulation box 28 by an elevating control mechanism. This device provides the constant difference in height between the accumulation box 28 and the suspending and carrying part 4 or a carrying guide part 12 on the top of the suspending and carrying part 4.
