To provide a strobe device which is equipped with an air cooling means for suppressing the deformation and the melting of a Fresnel panel, and where the air cooling means is appropriately arranged considering the cooling efficiency of the air cooling means and which copes with entry of dust or rainwater or the like from the suction/exhaust ports of the air cooling means.
The strobe device is provided with a shielding wall made of light transmissive member and spatially insulating a flash discharge tube 1 and the Fresnel panel 3 between the flash discharge tube 1 and the Fresnel panel 3, and provided with a vent hole 9 through which space on the Fresnel panel 3 side in a strobe housing 4 communicates with the space outside the housing 4 on the housing 4. It is provided with a fan at the vent hole 9 properly.
