PURPOSE: To calculate easily and quickly the number of strokes of a baby name by preparing a display panel for the total good fortune number, the number of strokes of the heaven, the earth and the man and codes of the good fortune and bad fortune and operating freely this display panel to obtain optional combinations of said elements.

CONSTITUTION: For calculation of a name 'YAMAZOE HISAICHI', for example, a Chinese character 'YAMA' has three strokes and 'ZOE' has 11 strokes. Thus the heaven has 14 strokes and therefore total good fortune number has 15 strokes. Then a heaven display panel B is set under the 15 strokes of a total good fortune number panel A. Then a stroke of an earth1 display panel D obtained by subtracting the number of strokes of the family name from the total good fortune number is set together with collation of a good or bad fortune code. The 14 strokes of the panel B serve as the base point and therefore the panel A is shifted to the right by the right hand and the panel D to the left by the left hand respectively together with collation of the good bad fortune codes. Thus the number of strokes of the good fortune of the earth is calculated. As a result, the numbers of strokes 1, 3, 7, 11, 17 and 21 are selected as the number of strokes for a name of a single character.
