PURPOSE: To provide an inexpensive and high corrosion resisting heat accumulating tank, by a method wherein, in a heat accumulating tank for storing hot water produced by utilization of the solar heat, resin is coated to an inner wall of a can body, and an external electric erosion reisting electrode is installed at the inside of the can body.
CONSTITUTION: A can body 4 consists of a pair of upper and lower end covers 2 and 3, made of iron plate, joining inner end surfaces of openings at opposite ends of a drum part 1 formed of an iron plate made into a cylinder for fillet welding at the outside thereof. A resin coating 22 is applied on the entire inner wall, making contact with water, of the can body 4 and an inner surface in contact with water, of a cover 7, and besides, an external electric corrosion electrode 12 is insertedly installed in the can body 4. This enables the sufficient protection of an edge part 23 from electric erosion and pin hole produced due to a fillet welding, which results in the improvement of durability.
