PURPOSE: To provide the structure of a connecting section of pipe which can mount and dismount joints quickly with one hand, even if a space before a female joint is small.

CONSTITUTION: A packing 13 is provided in the inner part of socket of a female joint 1, and a slot 15 is provided in the middle of a cylindrical section 15 of socket. A hold member 2 which has elasticity is fitted in the cylindrical section 15 of socket, and a part of the hold member 2 protrudes for the inner face 15 of the cylindrical section of socket via the slot 16. A male joint 4 which is attached to an end of pipe 30 a tapered face 422 whose outside diameter is smallest at the tip in an insertion section 42 and a recessed section 423 for engaging in the rear of the tapered face. The structure is characterized in that the insertion section to the male joint is inserted in the socket of the female joint and that the protruded part for the inner face of the cylindrical section of socket of the hold member 2 is engaged with the recessed section 42 for engaging.
