Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain vibration of arm at the cutting time of a grinding wheel cutting device, prevent generation of noise or failure caused thereby, and solve such a problem as decrease in the cutting accuracy.
SOLUTION: A grinding wheel 21 is supported to rotate freely around a horizontal shaft 22 perpendicular to the advancing and retreating directions of a main body 11. A material to be cut 36 which is conveyed ahead of the wheel 21 in parallel with the shaft 22 is cut by advancing the main body while rotating the wheel 21. The wheel 21 is supported at an end of an arm 18 supported on the main body 10 so as to swing up and down freely through a swing haft 17 parallel to the shaft 22. Supporters 27 preventing generation of oscillation in the arm 18 at the time of cutting operation while abutting against the arm 18 from the downward are respectively arranged on the main body 11 in the forward and rearward directions of the shaft 17.
