Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a thickness-shear crystal resonator capable of easy overtone oscillation.
CONSTITUTION: A crystal piece 1 for which an electrode 2 is formed and a base provided with plural lead terminals are provided (not shown in the Figure). Supports 32 and 31 provided with slits for inserting the crystal piece 1 are arranged opposing to the inner lead side face of the above-mentioned lead terminals and at the time of inserting the crystal piece between the slits of the supports, it is held so that a holding angle θ to both longitudinal direction end parts A and B of the slits from the centroid O of the crystal piece 1 is 70°-90° and is fixed and jointed by an electrically conductive jointing material 4.
