To provide a structure for installing a support, which can facilitate work for forming a hole by dispensing with a special component such as a fixing bracket and enabling the hole formed in a support installation surface of an object, wherein the support is installed, to be formed so as to be perpendicular or approximately perpendicular to the support installation surface, even if the support installation surface is inclined with respect to a horizontal direction.

The support 4 of a balustrade 3 is installed on a top surface 2A of a wall part 2 of an external staircase 1 inclined with respect to the horizontal direction. The support 4 is coupled to an anchor member 16 which is inserted for fixation, via a core 10 and a core coupling member 11, into the hole formed in the top surface 2A in such a manner as to be perpendicular or approximately perpendicular to the top surface 2A. The coupling member 11 is coupled to the anchor member 16 at a part A bent by a pin, so that the support 4 can be installed in such a vertical or approximately vertical manner as to form an angle with respect to the top surface 2A.
