Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reliably lock and easily release the lock with a simple structure by using a lock member made of a shape memory alloy as a return back stop nut, and shrinking its diameter while forming a memorized projective shape. CONSTITUTION: The lock member 1 is made of a shape memory alloy, and is a ring shaped plate having a hexagonal periphery. The screw thread 5 which is the same as the thread 4 or is a little bit looser than the thread 4 of a traditional nut 3 is formed in its inner periphery 2, and thickness t1 of the lock member 1 is a half of that of a traditional nut 3. The lock member 1 is so formed as it has the shape and size of the dotted line 6 by a shape memory alloy which memories a predetermined shape at a predetermined temperature, and after it is formed, the formed piece is compulsorily enlarged to the real line 7, and then a bolt is screwed and fastened by a nut 3. While it is heated to the predetermined temperature, the shape memory alloy shrinks to the memorized shape and size, so a reliable lock is completed. By this manner, a reliable looseness prevention and a lock release without use of any adhesives are easily realized.
