Abstract:
To reduce the wear loss of a molten metal pouring passage structure with molten metal.
A preformed passed liner 44 formed generally by the combination of graphite or carbon and carbon fiber (filament), is applied for casting work, such as centrifugal casting work, etc. The preformed liner 44 may be constituted of single formed parts or plural cooperating split type molten metal pouring passage members 50, 52 and 54 by forming the molten metal pouring passage having the prescribed length and shape, and groove 40. The preform passage liner 44 can be fixed and held in a housing 57 with various kinds of fixing means 46.
