PURPOSE: To prevent a fuel injection valve from damage due to high temperature corrosion and erosion by providing a recess on the inside surface of a cylinder cover to attach the fuel injection valve to said recess.

CONSTITUTION: A recess 7 is provided on the inside surface of a cylinder cover 2 to attach a fuel injection valve 1 to the recess. And to provide optimum spray 6 to a combustion chamber consisting of the cylinder cover 2, a piston crows 5, an exhaust valve 3 and a exhaust valve seat 4, a jet of the fuel injection valve 1 is arranged. Since the spray 6 of the adjacent fuel injection valve 1, flame or swirl flow does not enter the recess 7 directly, the fuel injection valve 1 can be prevented from damages due to high temperature corrosion and erosion.
