Title:
STRUCTURE OF OIL TANK FOR OIL BURNING APPLIANCE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3584605
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the oil tank of an oil burning appliance having a flame rise preventing structure during a fire extinguishing operation.
SOLUTION: Central inner and outer cylinders 3 and 5 are provided upright from the bottom plate 2a and the upper plate 2b of an oil tank 2 and a burner 1 is mounted on the central inner and outer cylinders 3 and 5. An oil pan 7 is provided for mounting a cartridge tank 6 on one side of the upper plate 2b of the oil tank 2. The oil pan 7 is provided with a collar part 7b spreading on its outer periphery. The collar part 7b is fitted to a recessed part 10 formed from the upper plate 2b into the oil tank 2. In the oil tank 2 outside a core 4 is provided a partition cylinder 9 having a lower end continued from the upper plate 2b sinking in oil, so that the continuation between the upper space of the oil tank 2 and the core 4 is disconnected and the rise of a flame is prevented during a fire extinguishing operation in this structure. The upper plate plate 2b of the oil tank 2 is provided with an air vent 11 with a diameter of 1 to 2mm which communicates with outside air. Thus, oil can be stored up to a part in the vicinity of the upper plate 2b of the oil tank 2, the storage quantity of oil is increased and the form of the oil tank 2 is made small.
