Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a waveguide little influenced by the temperature change and an optical gyroscope using the waveguide. CONSTITUTION:A waveguide is formed by dispersing Ti on an LiNbO3 substrate. The LiNbO3 substrate is fixed to a glass plate having smaller coefficient of thermal expansion than LiNbO3 and further this glass plate is fixed onto a Peltier element. What is obtained by fixing the waveguide formed by dispersing Ti on the LiNbO3, substrate to glass having smaller coefficient of thermal expansion than LiNbO3, and a waveguide formed by sputtering a different glass onto a glass substrate are fixed onto a Peltier element. Accordingly, a stable resonator against temperatures can be obtained.
