To provide a multi-disc frictional engaging device which can reduce dragging torque during non-operation, and at the same time, can prevent hitting sounds caused by judder of a plate.
A plate spring 40 having a plate abutting part 44 is provided between a hub 50 and a drum 60 of a multi-disc clutch 10. The plate spring 40 is arranged at a space G in an axial direction constituted of an outer peripheral part of an internal tooth plate 20 and at the spaces between the teeth of an external tooth plate 30, and the plate abutting part 44 is formed unevenly. In a non-operating state, the external tooth plate 30 is held to a recessed part 48a of the plate abutting part 44 and the internal tooth plate 30 is located approximately in the middle of the adjacent external tooth plates 30, 30. When both plates 20, 30 are pressed and released from an operation state to transmit the torque, the external tooth plate 30 is forcibly returned to its original position by the plate spring 40, the internal tooth plate 20 is returned to the position almost in the middle of the adjacent external tooth plates 30, 30, and the dragging torque is reduced.
