PURPOSE: To obtain a thin packing holding part for watch where the design is not restricted extremely and the quality is stable, by constituting a space part with a circumferential groove part provided under a glass edge and a circumferential step part provided on the upper inside circumference of a body.
CONSTITUTION: The space part is constituted with a circumferential step part 11a provided on the upper inside circumference of a body 11 and a circumferential groove part 15a provided under a glass edge 15, and a rubber packing 16 is compressed vertically and is set into this space part to keep the waterproof property. A plate-shaped member 18 is inserted to a groove 15b under the glass edge to fix the body 11 and the glass edge 15 to each other. Though a thickness l2 is required under the circumferential step part 11a of the body, a height (h) of the glass edge is not made small extremely because a height m2 of the space part is divided uniformly to the glass edge side and the body side; and further, since it is sufficient if the glass edge and the body are driven by a depth 1/2m2 in the press work, no load is applied to a pressure die to enhance the mass productivity. A glass 17 and a synthetic resin packing 18 are set as shown in a figure.
