Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency ladder to be used in an emergency such as a fire, which can be stored in a bay window or on the wall near a window of an ordinary two-storied or three-storied house. SOLUTION: This structure consists of a top board 4 of a bay window 1, which has open/close windows 2 and 3, on the second or third floor, and an emergency ladder 6, which is flexible like a rope ladder, is rolled up and stored on the rear side of the top board 4 which can be easily broken by hand or removed. Both edges of the ladder 6 from which the ladder is suspended are fixed to brackets 9 on the wall surface 8 where the bay window is built. The top board 4 can be easily broken by hand or removed from inside in an emergency, such as a fire, and the emergency ladder 6 can be brought down from the opened window so that a person can escape from the house through the ladder.
