This study desk is provided with a piled rack 28 formed of a lower rack 7 erected in a rearward position in the upper face of a top plate 2 of a desk body 1, and an upper shelf 4 detachably mounted to the lower shelf 7 into a piled state. The upper rack 4 is a substantially portal or H shape in a plan view and having both left/right side boards 11 and 11 and a horizontal fixed shelf board 5 bridging across the upper parts of the both left/right side boards 11 and 11, and a horizontal spare shelf board 6 bridging across the lower portions of the both left/right side boards 11 and 11 of the upper shelf 4 in a separate state with the upper shelf detached from the lower shelf 7, is superposedly mounted to the lower face of the fixed shelf board 5 of the upper shelf 4 in a state of superposedly using the superposed shelf.
