Abstract:
To provide a manufacturing method of a styrene resin capable of manufacturing the styrene resin having a branched chain, high melting tensile force and high flowability.SOLUTION: There is provided a manufacturing method of a styrene resin having a branched structure. The manufacturing method has a dispersion process, an impregnation process, a polymerization initiation process, and an addition impregnation polymerization process. In the impregnation process, a styrene monomer and a polymerization initiator are impregnated into a styrene resin nuclear particle. In the polymerization initiation process, polymerization of the styrene monomer is initiated in a nuclear particle. In the addition impregnation process, while styrene monomer is additionally added and styrene monomer is impregnated into the nuclear particle, the styrene monomer in the nuclear particle is graft polymerized. In the addition impregnation polymerization process, the styrene monomer is added while maintaining content of the styrene monomer in the nuclear particle at 10 mass% or less, the styrene monomer is polymerized in the presence of a chain transfer agent.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
