Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a cost for submergence by joining a newly submerged caisson to an existing vertical shaft or an existing submerged caisson with high accuracy, in a submerged caisson method.
SOLUTION: A pressure-resistant and waterproof pattern target object 5, which is installed on the existing submerged caisson 1 and is independent from an external power source, is made to emit light. A CCD camera 6 mounted on the new submerged caisson 2 to be installed catches the light emitted from the pattern target object 5, and convert it to an electrical signal. Then, the data of the electrical signal are converted by a video capture via a CCU. Then the converted data are analyzed by an electronic computer, and relative position coordinate and the orientation of the CCD camera 6 with respect to the pattern target object 5 are continuously computed. Further, the electronic computer carries out distance measurement of the new submerged caisson 2 to the existing submerged caisson 1 and also guidance of the newly submerged caisson 2 at the time of submergence, based on the computed relative position coordinate and the orientation.
