This invention relates to a substituted benzanilide compound represented by general formula (1) [wherein G is a ring such as G-7, G-13, G-71 or the like; W1 and W2 are each independently O or S; X is a halogen or the like; Y is a 1-6C alkyl or the like; R1, R2 and R3 are each independently H, a 1-12C alkyl, a 1-6C alkylthio(1-6C)alkyl or the like; R4, R5, R6a and R6b are each independently H, a 1-6C alkyl, phenyl which may be substituted with (Z2)p1 or the like; R6i, R6j and R6k are each independently H, a halogen or the like; Z2 is a halogen, a 1-6C haloalkoxy, a 1-6C alkylsulfonyl or the like; m and n are each an integer of 0 to 4; and p1 is an integer of 1 to 5] or its salt, and also a pesticide containing them.
