Abstract:

To obtain the novel subject compound which has nitrogen monoxide synthetase inhibitory action and is useful for cerebrovascular disorder (cerebral apoplexy) and the like.

The objective compound is represented by formula I [R1 is a (substituted) lower alkyl, a lower alkenyl, a lower alkynyl; R2-R4 are each H, a (substituted) lower alkyl; Y1-Y4 are each H, a halogen, nitro, cyano; n and m are each 0 or 1], typically N-(3-aminomethylphenyl)methyl thioacetoamidine. In order to prepare the compound, for example, a substituted aniline represented by formula II is allowed to react with a substituted imidate of formula III (R6, is tert.-butyl, benzyl) to form a substituted amidine of formula IV followed by deprotection.
