Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:The title derivative of formula I [R1 is H or methyl; R2 is formula II, III, or IV (X is Cl or Br when R1 is H; Y is Cl, Br, or methyl; Z is H, Cl, or Br), and methyl when R1 is methyl; R3 is H, lower alkyl, (substituted) phenyl, or benzyl].
EXAMPLE: N-α-Cyano-3-phenoxybenzyl 2, 2-dimethyl-3-( 2, 2-dichlorovinyl )-cyclohexanecarboxylic acid amide.
USE: Pesticides, insecticides, and fungicides.
PROCESS: 1W3mol equivalents of pyridine is added to the corresponding substituted cyclopropanecarboxylic acid chloride under cooling with ice. An N-[(un)substituted]-α-cyano-3-phenoxybenzylamine solution in benzene in an amount equivalent to the acid chloride is dropped to the reaction mixture and stirred at room temperature overnight.
