NEW MATERIAL:A substituted phenylbenzoquinonylbutyramide derivative shown by formula I (X is halogen, lower alkyl or lower alkoxy; A is O or S) or a hydroquinone derivative thereof.
EXAMPLE: 4-(4-Fluoro)phenyl-4-(3, 4-dimethoxy-6-methyl-2, 5-benzoquinonyl)-1-mor pholino-1-oxobutane.
USE: An improver and remedy for diseases caused by organic disorder or pathergasia. Effective for sequela of cerebral infarct, cerebral hemorrhage or arteriosclerosis, presbyophrenia, amnesia, depression and schizoid.
PREPARATION: For example, a compound shown by formula II is reacted with 2,3-dimethoxy-5-methyl-1,4-hydroquinone in the presence of an acid to give a compound shown by formula III, which is then condensed with morpholine or thiomorpholine by using a peptide synthesizing reagent to give a compound shown by formula I.
